Others This session is reserved for contributions which do not fit in any of the special sessions (numbered I. to V.). It will be managed and organised by the local organisers. ISAAC Award Awards will be presented to young scientists of age below 40 at the time of the congress for particular merits in analysis, its applications and computation. Candidates for the awards may be nominated especially by ISAAC Board Members and Session Organisers, but also may apply by themselves. Nominations and applications should be sent before 30 April, 2009, to the address M. W. Wong President, ISAAC e-mail: mwwong@mathstat.yorku.ca An Award Committee will select the awardees. Awards will only be given to participants. In case a prize winner will not be able to participate, she/he will get only the award document but no corresponding price. Registration Registration is now open and can be done online via http://www.isaac2009.org/ The registration fees are structured as follows: registration fee £150 (if paid before 31/3/09) registration fee £200 (from 01/04/09) registration fee (ISAAC members) £130 (if paid before 31/3/09) registration fee (ISAAC members) £180 (from 1/04/09) special registration fee £ 50 (restrictions apply) The special registration fee is available for participants from developing countries and research students without own financial support. It has to be agreed with the local organisers in each case. Registration fee covers the usual expenses (organisation of the congress, rent for lecture rooms and technical equipment, volume of abstracts, scheduling of talks etc.) and covers one talk per participant. Participants who wish to give several talks in different sections should negotiate about this with the local organisers and, if agreed, can do so for an additional registration fee of £20. The volume of proceedings is not included in the registration fee. We offer participants the proceedings volume for a reduced price of Proceedings volume £60 (that this is indeed a strong reduction can be seen from the actual prices of previous years proceedings volumes which range between £90 and £120). We plan to organise a conference dinner. Further particulars will be announced in due course on the conference website. The price per participant will be Conference dinner (per person) £50. Payment for registration and the additional fees can be done either online (via a secure payment page of Imperial College / World Pay and based on major credit cards) or by international bank transfer. Further particulars can be found on http://www.isaac2009.org/Congress/Payment.html registration is available online via http://www.isaac2009.org/Congress/Registration.html Accommodation Accommodation should be either arranged directly with appropriate hotels (see some hints below) or with the local organisiers for college dormitories. College dormitories are comfortable en-suite bed and breakfast type accommodations that belong to Imperial College / Queen Mary College. They are limited and only available when booked in time. (1) Imperial College Dormitories These are comfortable en-suite bed and breakfast type accommodations that belong to Imperial College. They are situated in 3 minutes walking distance from the conference venue. Further information about the location with virtual tours of rooms can be found on the conference web-site. Special reduced prices for congress participants are: Single room: £60 per night Twin room (room with two beds): £80 per night It is possible for 2 people to share a twin room (in which case the price is £40 per person per night). Prices include breakfast. Payment for these rooms can be done together with the registration fee. Unfortunately, it is not possible to guarantee rooms without payment. It is also not possible to pay on arrival. You should contact the organisers by email to check the availability and to reserve. The deadline for reservation and payment for these rooms is 1 May 2009 if rooms are still available. However, participants are strongly advised to reserve and pay for the rooms as soon as possible because there are many activities at Imperial College in July and hence the availability of rooms is limited. (2) Queen Mary College Dormitories These are en-suite bed and breakfast accommodations that belong to Queen Mary College. They are situated in Mile End area of London on the Queen Mary campus. One can reach Imperial College from these dormitories by tube (District Line) in 45-60 minutes. Further information about the location can be found on the conference website. Single room: £45 per night (incl. breakfast) You must pay for these rooms at the time of your registration. You should contact the organisers by email to check the availability and make reservation. The deadline for reservation and payment for these rooms is 1 March 2009. There is also an option for a weekly rate of £134 (plus booking fee) excluding breakfast. This only available for a very limited number of rooms and can be booked directly on the Queen Mary College website http://www.ccrs.qmul.ac.uk/holidays/rates/index.html#cateredsingle (3) Hotels Participants are expected to book hotels by themselves and we recommend to do this soon. There are also plenty of reasonably priced hotels in the vicinity of the college, i.e. near Earl's Court, South Kensington, Paddington, Bayswater, Queen's Way. You can find some suggestions on the conference website. Alternatively, there also bed & breakfast possibilities. We recommend that participants book accommodation as soon as possible.
